Retirement!

On Monday I finally gave notice at work and I'm officially retired. I have been with the company for five years so it was a tough decision to make. Go to work everyday like a drone or travel the country and goof off everyday?.....tough decision. It's been strange to be home during the day, but I won't have any trouble getting used to it. It will be so nice to be able to keep up with the housework and have the time to cook "real" meals again. I'm sure my true calling in life is to be a domestic engineer and lady of leisure. I must have finally convinced Todd or maybe I just wore him down. Either way, I'M UNEMPLOYED!!!!!!

We found a house to rent until McKenzie goes into her dorm. It is in the Fairbanks Hills and has a million dollar view.

The cabin is a bit "rustic" and in terrible need of a remodel, but it's comfortable and charming.

Well, we found a house to rent and have been busy moving (YUK!). In the middle of it all we decided to take a break and spend a week in Maui. McKenzie didn't need to go to school since she had already passed her HSG exams and Todd was home. It was great to take a break. We were all burned out from everything that was going on. We realized that in a few months Kenzie would be starting her own life and this may be our last family vacation.

It was wonderful, warm, and relaxing.
